Inkie.org Library
We are refocusing the content that is available on the BiblioBoard platform and rebranding it as Inkie.org Library. The revised platform will exclusively feature content by Illinois authors, creators, and communities. Collections will include the Indie Illinois e-book collection and the RAILS Community Collections multimedia anthologies.
Over the last several years, the RAILS Community Collections have consistently experienced the most engagement from users in Illinois. Focusing on content by Illinois creators and communities will help libraries promote the Inkie.org Library to their patrons. It will also tie the content directly to the self-publishing services available via Inkie.org.
The Inkie.org Library (Indie Illinois and RAILS Community Collections) is available to everyone in Illinois, courtesy of RAILS, regardless of whether they have a library card. Items on this platform have no holds, no waits, and can be accessed simultaneously via this link: https://illinois.biblioboard.com/.
Access to Inkie.org
Inkie.org provides geolocation-based authentication through the IP address of the user's computer or GPS coordinates of their mobile device. Anyone who is physically in Illinois can access the collection without a login. A patron who creates an optional account while in Illinois will be able to access the collection outside the state by logging into their account.
Your patrons have access to the collections through:
- BiblioBoard app for iOS (from the iTunes App Store)
- BiblioBoard app for Android (from the Google Play Store)
Subscription made possible by RAILS. No library card needed as long as you are in Illinois when you download the books.
If you are planning on traveling, setup an account, and you'll be able to download additional content while on the go!
